You may have heard that new UK vaping regulations come into force on 1 October 2026, including a new Government duty of £2.20 for every 10ml of e-liquid, plus VAT.

We've spent the last few months preparing Tmax Juices for the changes and working with HMRC to ensure we're ready for the new system.

The good news is that nothing is changing overnight.

We've increased our production ahead of 1 October, and e-liquid manufactured before the new duty begins can continue to be sold during the transition period.

We therefore expect to have good availability of most of our existing products at current pricing throughout the autumn, with many lines taking us up to around Christmas.

A quick reminder about storing Snake Oil

For customers who like to keep a supply of Snake Oil on hand, it's worth remembering that Snake Oil is perfectly suitable for long-term freezer storage at around -18°C.

At this temperature, the ageing and steeping process is effectively halted. When you're ready to use it, simply remove a bottle from the freezer and allow it to return fully to room temperature before use.

Stored correctly, this is an excellent way of preserving Snake Oil in essentially the same condition as when it went into the freezer.

What happens after our existing stock?

Once our pre-October stock is exhausted, newly manufactured UK products will move onto the new duty-paid system. You'll notice new Government duty stamps appearing on the packaging and, unfortunately, the new £2.20 per 10ml duty, plus VAT, will need to be reflected in UK prices.

We'll let you know exactly what that means for our range before anything changes.

Most importantly, Snake Oil isn't going anywhere.

We've been making it in the UK since 2013 and intend to keep doing so. We've put a lot of work into preparing for these changes and making the transition as straightforward as possible for our customers.

For now, it's business as usual.
